Amazon, Inland Waterways Authority of India sign MoU to promote cargo movement

The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with e-commerce giant Amazon to promote cargo movement and transportation of customer shipments using the river Ganga. The collaboration aims to optimize logistics, reduce environmental impact, and promote economic development. The partnership will enable Amazon to utilize various modes of transport in India, including rail, air, water, and surface, for faster and more reliable delivery.
