Pencil-maker Doms jumps nearly 70% in market debut

Doms Industries, controlled by Fila, surged 68% in its Mumbai trading debut, despite a broader market selloff. The Gujarat-based firm raised Rs 1,200 crore through its IPO, with a market value over $1 billion. Revenue for the year-ended March 2023 was Rs 1,210 crore, up 77% from the previous year. India Shelter Finance, another IPO debutant, rose 10% after raising $144 million. India's primary market had a strong year, raising over $24 billion in IPOs and share offerings, surpassing Hong Kong.
