A tragic plane crash in Arizona’s Navajo Nation has claimed the lives of four medical personnel. The twin-propeller Beechcraft 300 aircraft, operated by Albuquerque-based CSI Aviation, crashed while attempting to land at Chinle Municipal Airport. The team was en route to pick up a patient when the aircraft went down near the airfield, about 200 miles northeast of Flagstaff. Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren mourned the loss, calling the victims “heroes who dedicated their lives to saving others.”
The crash has devastated the local community and first responder networks. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched an investigation. Access to the crash site remains restricted during the probe. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released. The incident has raised concerns over the safety of emergency medical aviation in remote areas.
