Several actors in recent years have expressed their eagerness to collaborate with the esteemed director Sriram Raghavan, renowned for his compelling thrillers such as 'Badlapur,' 'Andhadhun,' and the recent critically acclaimed 'Merry Christmas.' In a recent interview, Raghavan delved into his writing process, revealing that penning roles with specific actors in mind hasn't always yielded successful outcomes for him. Interestingly, he casually mentioned Bollywood stalwart Sunny Deol, sharing an anecdote from years ago when Deol, after watching Raghavan's docu-drama 'Raman Raghav, A City, A Killer' (1991), had expressed interest in collaborating. Reflecting on his experience, Raghavan now approaches scripting by initiating the writing process and contemplating casting choices midway. Despite acknowledging a desire to work with Sunny Deol, Raghavan has a list of other actors he envisions collaborating with. Sunny Deol's most recent success was in 'Gadar 2,' marking a significant achievement in the past year.
