Hackman death case: Dog was 'misidentified'

Authorities misidentified a deceased dog during the investigation of Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa's deaths. Their kelpie mix, Zinna, did not survive, though two other dogs did. Hackman and Arakawa's partially mummified bodies were discovered, with no carbon monoxide poisoning or gas leaks found. The cause of death remains under investigation, pending toxicology reports.
