Pankaj Tripathi took a year off after his father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, passed away. He didn't sign any new films during this time. Tripathi focused on healing and self-improvement. He dedicated time to physical fitness and travel. He wrapped up prior commitments. Tripathi will return to the screen in 'Metro… In Dino'.
