The Kanwar Yatra is an annual Hindu pilgrimage held during Sawan, when millions of devotees called Kanvarias carry sacred Ganga water to offer to Lord Shiva. Rooted in the legend of Samudra Manthan, this barefoot journey reflects deep faith, discipline, and unity. Pilgrims wear saffron attire, chant mantras, and perform the Jalabhishek over the Shiva Lingam. Over time, it has evolved into a living tradition celebrating devotion and spiritual renewal.
