In a historic move, Shwetha Menon has been elected as the first woman president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), securing a decisive victory with 159 votes. Emphasizing inclusion and healing, Shwetha aims to reunite estranged members and collaborate with the Women in Cinema Collective. The election also ushered in new leadership, with Kuku Parameswaran as General Secretary and Lakshmipriya as Vice-President, marking a new chapter for AMMA.
