The HMS Diamond, a UK warship, intercepted a ballistic missile launched by Houthi rebels in Yemen, marking the Royal Navy's first such interception since the Gulf War. Deployed in the Gulf of Aden to protect a commercial vessel, the Type 45 destroyer used advanced Sea Viper missile interceptors. The targeted ship, MV Yorktown, was unharmed.
