Wednesday, 24 January 2024 A man who stabbed three people to death in Nottingham heard voices in his head telling him he needed to kill people otherwise something "atrocious" would happen to his family, a court heard.

The parents of Grace O’Malley-Kumar have blamed “failings” in the system for a series of stabbing attacks, including a sword attack in Hainault on Tuesday and a school stabbing in Sheffield on Wednesday. Grace’s father, Dr Sanjoy Kumar, said “positive change is so long overdue” after a 14-year-old boy was killed in Hainault and three teenage boys were admitted to hospital in Sheffield following the attacks.
