Friday, 21 June 2024 A convicted film set armourer has been denied immunity to testify at actor Alec Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial over the fatal shooting of a cinematographer on the set of Rust, a judge has ruled.

'Rust' writer-director Joel Souza has complicated thoughts on his creation, and he says he has "no relationship" with the film's star Alec Baldwin. After several years and an enormous tragedy, 'Rust' will finally be released. Back in 2021, the movie's cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died after she was accidentally shot on set by Baldwin. After much debate, Souza and the cast and crew returned to finish the film. But, quite naturally, Souza says he wishes he never made the film in the first place.
