Friday, 20 December 2024 A Frenchman who is on death row in Indonesia has made a last-ditch plea to return home - as the country's new president plans to pardon 44,000 prisoners.
Mary Jane Veloso, a Filipina inmate on death row in Indonesia, leaves the Jakarta women's penitentiary for the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport before flying home to Manila, after the government signed an agreement with Manila this month to repatriate her.
