'100-car pile-up' causes chaos on snowy US highway
Thursday, 13 February 2025 A pile-up reportedly involving more than 100 cars in "whiteout conditions" has closed part of a major highway in the US state of Oregon.
A 42-year-old man, Tony Latrell Williams, went on a stabbing spree at a homeless shelter in Salem, Oregon, injuring 12 people, including staff and guests. Five remain hospitalized in serious condition. Witnesses say the attack began in the lobby and spilled outside before police arrested Williams nearby. The motive remains unclear, though officials believe it was not a targeted attack. Williams faces multiple charges, including attempted Murder. Despite the violence, Union Gospel Mission continued services, calling for prayers and unity during recovery.
