Why did Ballymena become the latest site of anti-immigration riots?
Friday, 13 June 2025 () There have now been five consecutive nights of ongoing violence and disorder on the streets of Northern Ireland, with Ballymena at the focus of the unrest following a serious sexual assault on a teenage girl in the town on 7 June.

The PSNI has requested assistance from police forces in Great Britain following violence in Ballymena, a senior officer has said.
Seventeen police officers were injured during a second night of violence in Ballymena.
