Rajya Sabha on Monday passed two bills and resolutions each moved by the Narendra Modi govt revoking Article 370 and Article 35A of the Constitution and bifurcating Jammu and Kashmir. The Lok Sabha is all set to pass them on Tuesday, thus, doing away with provisions which accord special status to the state. Three major factors helped Modi govt to achieve it.
