G7 to help nations hit by Amazon fires: French President Emmanuel Macron
Sunday, 25 August 2019 () World leaders at the G7 summit have agreed to help the countries affected by the huge wildfires ravaging the Amazon rainforest as soon as possible, French President Emmanuel Macron said Sunday. Ahead of the gathering, Macron called on world leaders to hold urgent talks on the wildfires ripping through the world's largest rainforest.
French President Emmanuel Macron said on Sunday the leaders of the world's major industrialized nations were close to an agreement on how to help fight the Amazon forest fires and try to repair the devastation. Nathan Frandino has more.
