'Not just young Krishna, entire India loves to play with Moon'
Sunday, 8 September 2019 On July 22, 2019, when the GSLV Mark III rocket of the ISRO soared to the sky with the intent to lead the mission Chandrayaan-2 to the Moon, with it travelled over a billion dreams too.
Members of Hindu Civic Society staged a protest in front of Pakistan Embassy in Nepal's capital Kathmandu against atrocities over Hindu minority. The protestors held placards during the demonstration and also burnt effigy of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan during the protest. They demanded construction of Krishna temple in Islamabad. Temple's construction halted after its boundary wall was demolished.
Actress-turned-politician Hema Malini has dismissed rumours about her ill health, and said she is "absolutely fine" with the blessings of Lord Krishna. Rumours of the BJP leader being hospitalised started doing the rounds of social media after the COVID-19 spread its legs in film fraternity with Amitabh Bachchan and his son testing positive for the coronavirus.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 03 during his visit to Leh said that age of expansionism is over and the present time is for development. He said, "Age of expansionism is over and it is the age of development. History is witness that expansionist forces have either lost or were forced to turn back." He further said that India has increased expenditure on development on infrastructure in the border area by three times. PM Modi said, "We are the same people who pray to the flute playing Lord Krishna but we are also the same people who idolise and follow the same Lord Krishna who carries the 'Sudarshana Chakra'."
A businessman, Neeraj Kumar from Gaya bought a piece of land on the Moon. Neeraj Kumar bought one acre of land on his birthday. Speaking to ANI, Neeraj Kumar said, "I have bought 1 acre of plot on Moon. It was not that expensive but the process was really very hard. I reached out to Lunar Registration Society which is US based for the further process. I have read that Sushant Singh Rajput, Shah Rukh Khan and a Mumbai-based businessman have purchased land on the Moon so I got inspired from them." He is the first person from Bodh Gaya to buy land on the Earth's natural satellite. However, as per Outer Space Treaty, ownership of land on moon remains unclear.
Vaikasi Visakam festival was celebrated in Tamil Nadu's Madurai on June 04. The celebration took place at Pazhamudircholai Murugan Temple in Madurai. No devotees were allowed at the temple to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Two priests performed rituals of the festival. Vaikasi Visakam occurs when the full Moon coincides with auspicious Vishaka star during the Tamil month of Vaikasi.
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman, K Sivan attended an event called 'Launching to New Heights in Space' via video-conferencing. Speaking on participation of private sector in space activities, K Sivan said, "I request everyone to come forward to make India technological powerhouse. I am sure that PM's vision will be realised by young entrepreneurs of India. We are going to have an industry meet in a fortnight on the reforms."
While addressing a press conference in Bengaluru, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chief K Sivan on June 25 said, "Space sector, where India is among handful of countries with advanced space technology, can play significant role in boosting industrial base of India. Govt's decided to implement reformed measures to leverage ISRO's achievement by opening space sector for private enterprises." "As part of longer socio-economic reform, space reforms will improve access to space-based services for India's development. Far-reaching reforms will put India in league of few countries with efficient promotional and authorisation mechanism for private sector space activities," he added. "Department of Space will promote sector space activities to enable it to provide end to end space services, including building and launching of rockets and satellites as well as providing space-based services on commercial basis," ISRO Chief further said.
