'Remarkable' reduction in number of youths joining militancy since August 5 last year: Report
Sunday, 9 February 2020 The number of youths joining the ranks of terrorists in Kashmir has gone down "remarkably" since the nullification of provisions of Article 370 in August last year, officials have said. According to a report prepared by security agencies, on an average, five local youths have joined militancy every month since August 5 last year, as compared to the earlier rate of 14 per month.

Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 39.69 % voter turnout recorded in the first phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections till 1 pm and the highest 59% voting recorded in Samba.
