Congress-RJD alliance with CPI(ML) will revive naxalism in Bihar: Yogi Adityanath
Wednesday, 21 October 2020 The Congress-RJD combines poll pact with ultra-Left CPI(ML) in Bihar is deplorable and unfortunate as it can lead to a resurgence of naxalism in the state which has reeled under Maoist violence for long, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday.
Congress workers and a group of farmers engaged in a verbal spat at Nirankari ground in Burari. Delhi Congress wing is providing tea and refreshment to the farmers, who are protesting against Centre's three farm laws. However, Congress workers alleged that the protestors were from AAP. The group of farmers, who indulged into a verbal spat with Congress party demanded to remove banners of any political party.
Actor-turned-politician Urmila Matondkar joined Shiv Sena, in the presence of party president Uddhav Thackeray on December 01. Matondkar, who fought Lok Sabha elections from North Mumbai from Congress party lost to BJP's Gopal Shetty last year.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reacted on Tejashwi Yadav's allegation on his 'Bete Ki Chah Main Betiya Paida Karte Reh Gae' remark. He said, "I was speaking about the fertility rate and said that in humour. Did I say anything about anyone? People are taking it on themselves on their own." Earlier in the day, RJD leader and former deputy chief minister of Patna Tejashwi Yadav said that CM Kumar was heard saying- 'bete ki chah me bitiya paida karte reh gaye'. He said, "I said it doesn't suit the most experienced CM to drag my sisters into politics". Tejashwi further added that people say that CM Nitish Kumar didn't have another child out of fear that it could be a girl.

Speaking on the on-going farmers' protest against new farm laws, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on November 30 stated that the protests are happening on account of misconceptions and dialogue should take place in the matter. He said, "The central govt wants to talk to farmers to dispel the fear of issues in the procurement mechanism. So I believe that dialogue should take place. The protests are happening on account of misconceptions."
A woman was shot at by unidentified assailants in Bihar's Patna. She was shot during a robbery attempt on November 28. The victim has been admitted at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for treatment. Speaking to media, a police official said, "The victim has been admitted to hospital and her condition is critical."
Mass surrender of Maoists took place in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada on October 25, as per police. Over 30 Maoists, including 6 with rewards on their heads, 'joined the mainstream' at a ceremony presided over by Superintendent of Police Abhisek Pallava. Speaking on the Lon Varratu (Return Home) programme, Pallava said that around 150 Maoists had surrended in three months under the scheme. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal held meeting with farmers'leaders in the national capital.
