Expelled All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader VK Sasikala on March 29 visited Ramanathaswamy Temple in Tamil Nadu's Rameswaram. She performed puja at the temple. Sasikala, who was released from a Bangalore jail, few months back, has also left politics.

A closed circuit television camera captured a policeman thrashing staff and patrons at an eatery in Tamil Nadu on April 11. The incident reportedly occurred near Gandhipuram bus stand.
