Additional Secretary in Home Ministry Govind Mohan, Additional Secretary in Education Ministry Vinit Joshi, Joint Director of Intelligence Bureau Janardan Singh and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) IB, Nalin are among the team. Violence has been reported in several parts of West Bengal after post-poll results.

Border Security Forces (BSF) Commandant Ops (Jaipur-south), Jagdeep Singh Sandhu said on April 17 that nearly 100% personnel on duty have been given shots of COVID-19 vaccine. "We have vaccinated nearly 100% of our personnel on duty here. We have also started the first phase of vaccination for family members (above 45 years old) of our personnel here," the Commandant said.

Amid increase in demand for oxygen to fight against COVID-19, an oxygen plant has been set up in Jammu and Kashmir. The O2 plant has been set up at Sub District Hospital (SDH) in Kupwara district. The oxygen plant will help everyone across the city amid oxygen crisis. "This facility will be beneficial for everyone," Dr. Sheikh Iqbal, Consultant Physician said to ANI. Meanwhile, JandK has reported over 16,993 active COVID-19 cases.

Indian Army repatriated a youth to Pakistani authorities who inadvertently crossed the Line of Control (LoC) and entered into Indian side in Kupwara area on the night of April 05. The youth identified as Mausam, was kept under surveillance with due care by the Indian troops. Pakistani authorities were informed about him.
