Vatican prevails, nun rape case accused Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal resigns

Pope Francis on Thursday accepted the resignation of Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal, who was accused of raping a nun, from his post. The bishop was earlier temporarily relieved of his responsibilities of the diocese by Pope Francis in September 2018, after police questioned him on the rape charges.
