Maharashtra: Ajit Pawar's associates benefited, says court in co-operative bank scam case

Taking cognisance of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) chargesheet against a company linked to deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and his wife, Sunetra, in the Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank (MSCB) scam, a special PMLA court on Wednesday said the grant of a Rs 826 crore loan by the Pune District Central Cooperative Bank and others for a mortgaged property of the Jarandeshwar SSK factory prima facie showed that the factory's assets were acquired by the NCP politician's associates at a throwaway price.
