UP rape survivor kills herself as cops refuse to register FIR against accused

A 32-year-old widow, allegedly raped on Tuesday night, died by poison on Thursday after local police reportedly didn't take action against her assaulter and refused to register an FIR against him. The incident was reported from a village in Suar area of Rampur. When it came to the notice of SP Rampur Ashok Kumar, an FIR was registered against the accused and he was arrested in the evening. Police sent her body for the autopsyβββββββ.
