UP pilgrim saved from swollen Mandakini river while taking selfie

A 23-year-old pilgrim from UP's Budaun accidentally slipped into the gushing waters of Mandakini river in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand on Monday evening while taking a selfie. In a widely circulated video, he can be seen clinging on to a rock. He apparently lost balance when standing on the edge and had a lucky escape, a local official said.
