Using thumb impression of Bengaluru woman, crooks steal Rs 20,000

Not revealing OTPs and keeping account details a secret aren’t enough to secure you hard-earned money anymore. In what is perhaps a first-of-its-kind cybercrime in Karnataka, miscreants allegedly stole a 57-year-old woman’s thumb impression and used the Aadhaar-enabled Payment System (AePS) to siphon off Rs 20,000 from her bank account.
