In Hyderabad to meet friends, top Maoist leader with Rs 25 lakh bounty in cop net

Telangana police have arrested Sanjoy Deepak Rao, a member of the Communist Party of India (Maoists), who had a reward of Rs 25 lakh. He was apprehended in Hyderabad while visiting friends. The police seized a revolver, laptop, and cash from Rao, who was reportedly on his way to meet top Maoist leaders. The arrest is considered a blow to the activities of the CPI Maoists, and Telangana is said to no longer be a recruitment ground for the group.
