In UP, Congress exploring alliance possibility with BSP

There are reports suggesting that the Congress party is once again reaching out to the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Uttar Pradesh for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. While Mayawati, the leader of BSP, had previously announced that her party would contest the elections alone, analysts believe that a possible alliance between BSP and Congress could lead to new political permutations. Congress sources have confirmed that senior leaders from both parties are in touch, but have not commented on recent media reports about a meeting between Priyanka Gandhi and Mayawati.
