Delhi maps all 13 pollution hotspots: What are major sources of pollution and what are you smoking
Friday, 29 September 2023
The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has completed a mapping and inventory of major and minor pollution sources at all 13 hotspots in the city. This information will be used to develop winter action plans for each hotspot. Last winter, the DPCC identified and addressed 470 pollution sources at the Anand Vihar hotspot, resulting in improved air quality. Similar efforts have now been undertaken at all hotspots. The inventory has been shared with relevant agencies for resolution. The Centre for Science and Environment found that hotspots in north and east Delhi, particularly Jahangirpuri, were the most polluted in the city.
