A woman in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, discovered that her cash savings of nearly Rs 18 lakh, stored in a Bank of Baroda locker, had been eaten by termites. Alka Pathak had deposited the money in October 2022 and only realized the damage when she visited the bank recently.
