Ajit Pawar calls himself NCP president, says Y B Chavan his ‘source of inspiration’

Amid the ongoing dispute over the leadership of the NCP, Ajit Pawar, deputy chief minister and NCP leader, has referred to himself as the NCP president in an open letter to the people of Maharashtra. He has also removed pictures of his political mentor and uncle, Sharad Pawar, from his faction's posters and banners across the state. Ajit defended his decision to join the government led by Eknath Shinde and stated that the NCP will focus on working for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women. He also emphasized the importance of constructive criticism in politics.
