More will come out on Canadian interference, says EAM

IndiaTimes Sunday, 22 October 2023
India has stopped issuing visas to Canadians due to concerns over the safety of Indian diplomats in Canada. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that Canada was not fulfilling its obligations under the Vienna Convention, which ensures the safety and security of diplomats. Jaishankar expressed hope that the situation would improve, allowing visa services to resume. He attributed the strained relationship with Canada to a specific segment of Canadian politics and their policies.
