Tamil Nadu: AIADMK ward member hacked to death by gang

A 29-year-old AIADMK ward member was hacked to death in Thiruporur on Saturday night. The victim, R Anbarasan, was travelling home in a car when he was attacked by a gang. Anbarasan's family and party members protested, demanding that the police catch the accused. Preliminary investigations suggest a business rivalry may be the motive behind the murder. The police are also looking into the possibility of political rivalry.
