Paramanand Tolani, also known as 'Indori Dharti Pakad', is a persistent independent candidate in Indore, India, who has lost 18 elections but continues to run. Following in his father's footsteps, who contested elections from 1950 to 1988, Tolani sees it as a family tradition. Despite limited resources, he remains hopeful and has filed his nomination to run as an independent candidate in the upcoming assembly polls. Tolani's daughter is also interested in continuing the family tradition. Three candidates, including the incumbent MLA, have submitted their nominations so far.
