Climate change likely impacted human populations around 5,500 years ago: Study

IndiaTimes Thursday, 26 October 2023
A study conducted by researchers from Kiel University in Germany has found that human populations in Europe between 5,500 and 3,500 years ago fluctuated with changing climates. The study examined Central European regions rich in archaeological remains and climate data to identify correlations between human population trends and climate change. The research found that populations tended to increase during warm and wet times, while they often decreased during cold and dry times.
