No bail, court orders non-spicy food for jailed riots accused

IndiaTimes Friday, 27 October 2023
An NIA special court in Bengaluru has rejected the interim bail plea of a suspect in the DJ Halli and KG Halli riots case. The court directed jail officials to provide the accused with specific dietary requirements for his medical condition. The suspect had claimed to be suffering from chest inflammation and infection and had requested interim bail for medical treatment. However, the court examined his medical records and concluded that he had been provided with adequate care and treatment, therefore denying him bail on medical grounds.
