Nitish Kumar's remark understandable, but state polls important: Congress
The Congress party has responded to Nitish Kumar's complaint that the opposition alliance was not moving fast enough in its efforts to dislodge the Modi government. The party acknowledged Kumar's eagerness to remove the BJP from power, but stated that state elections were also important and would be the focus for now. Congress MP Syed Naseer Hussain explained that the INDIA alliance was launched for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, but the state elections announced in between were significant.
