Singhdeo shrugs off Mahadev Betting Scandal accusations, predicts no impact on Congress or poll prospects

IndiaTimes Thursday, 9 November 2023
Chhattisgarh deputy chief minister T. S. Singhdeo has dismissed allegations from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the Mahadev Book online betting scandal. Singhdeo stated that without proof, no action can be taken, and people are mature enough to differentiate between allegations and evidence. He drew parallels to previous scandals such as Bofors and the coal scam, where no concrete evidence was found. Singhdeo emphasized that voters understand these allegations are attempts to create a negative atmosphere.
