Australian varsity to set up campus in Bengaluru by 2025

IndiaTimes Friday, 10 November 2023
Australia's Western Sydney University (WSU) has announced plans to open a campus in Bengaluru, India by 2025, following the University Grants Commission's (UGC) relaxation of norms for foreign universities to establish campuses in the country. WSU aims to offer STEM education with a focus on agriculture and hopes to enroll around 1,000 students over the next five years. Several other universities, including Deakin University and University of Wollongong, also plan to set up campuses in India. The move is seen as a positive step in strengthening bilateral relations between Australia and India.
