Smriti reportedly sent mobile phones, wall clocks, and saris to residents, while Rahul distributed shirts, trousers, and sweets. The gifts from Smriti were specifically given to socially disadvantaged and physically challenged individuals. A video featuring the BJP's former Amethi president encouraging reciprocity by suggesting people vote for Smriti has gone viral. The BJP defended the comment, stating it meant people should support Smriti's work for the constituency.
