NHAI asks officials to collect samples of ongoing projects for quality test
Monday, 20 November 2023 The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is taking steps to address the problem of quality in construction and maintenance of National Highway (NH) projects. NHAI has instructed its senior officials to collect samples of ongoing works and get them tested at a government-accredited laboratory. The test results will be used to take action and ensure compliance. The focus on quality comes in light of increased highway construction and contractors quoting low prices to win projects.
