No DNA match: Man accused of killing his daughter granted bail

IndiaTimes Saturday, 25 November 2023
A man accused of murdering his daughter was granted bail after DNA tests revealed that the body found in a lake was not Sheetal's. However, the court noted the possibility of switching biological samples with another deceased woman. The case will be reinvestigated as Sheetal is still missing. The court acknowledged the lack of preserved viscera from the other woman, and the second DNA sample was drawn from the lake body to match Ravinder Chaudhary's wife's profile. The court stated the need for scientific evidence in this botched-up investigation.
