Delhi University's Academic Council meeting will discuss the inclusion of the University Grants Commission's online learning platform, SWAYAM, as an agenda item. The AC had previously approved the adoption of UGC regulations allowing up to 20% of courses to be offered online. However, the UGC has now revised the regulations, permitting institutions to offer up to 40% of courses online. The commerce department at DU may be the first to implement online courses. Teachers have expressed concerns about the quality and workload reduction associated with online courses.
