A woman and her two minor daughters died in a tragic incident when they jumped before the Konkan Kanya Express due to a financial crisis. The bodies of Reena Nair and her younger daughter Laxmi were found on the tracks, while the other daughter Jiya was found in the bushes. Reena, a divorcee, had married a second time, but her husband had moved to Kerala and stopped sending money for expenses. She had borrowed money and was unable to repay the loans, leading to this drastic step.
