Thursday, 7 December 2023 Former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje met with BJP president J P Nadda in Delhi. The party is finalizing the next chief minister and Raje's views are important. Lalit Meena, a BJP MLA, was allegedly confined in a resort by other MLAs, including Dushyant Singh. Lalit Meena's father accused Singh of keeping his son and five other MLAs in the resort. Hemraj Meena, a former BJP MLA, went to the resort and after a fight, was able to take his son home. Five other BJP MLAs have been moved to a different location by the Raje camp.

In a landmark decision, a seven-judge bench of the Supreme Court ruled that lawmakers, comprising both Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs), can be prosecuted under the Prevention of Corruption Act if they accept monetary gains in exchange for their votes or speeches in Parliament or state assemblies. This ruling overturns the previous 1998 judgement of the apex court in the PV Narasimha Rao case.
