On cam: 'Accidental firing' inside UP police station critically injures woman

A 55-year-old woman in critical condition after being shot in the head at Aligarh police station. The victim, Ishrat Begum, had come to the station for passport verification. CCTV footage shows the sub-inspector cocking his pistol and accidentally firing it, hitting Ishrat. The officer fled the scene and has been suspended. A case has been registered against him for attempt to murder. Investigation ongoing.
