Flyer from Nairobi held with cocaine worth Rs 40 crore

The DRI arrested a 54-year-old Andhra Pradesh native for smuggling 4kg of cocaine worth Rs 40 crore from Nairobi. The DRI received intelligence about Bala Ganpathi Venkata Naidu, who arrived at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport from Nairobi. Naidu was staying at a guest house near Sahar International Airport. The DRI found 4kg of cocaine in his trolley bag during an inspection. Naidu admitted to smuggling cocaine from Sierra Leone and believed he could evade customs officials. Another Nigerian national was arrested in a separate case involving 2.5kg of cocaine.
