Delhi's extreme cold spell to last another three days

IndiaTimes Friday, 5 January 2024
Delhi experiences coldest day in two years with a blanket of uplifted fog and frosty northerly winds. The maximum temperature at Safdarjung plummets to 12.5 degrees Celsius, seven notches below normal, marking the first 'cold day' of the season. The extreme cold spell is expected to last for three more days. The met office issues orange and yellow alerts for 'cold to severe cold day'. A little rise in temperature is likely early next week due to a western disturbance, potentially causing rain. Moderate fog is expected in the morning.
