Mumbai records the coldest day of season

On Saturday, the city experienced its coldest morning of the season with the IMD Santacruz observatory recording a minimum temperature of 17.5 degrees Celsius, down from 18.5 degrees Celsius the previous day. The IMD Colaba observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 20 degrees. Although this was the coldest morning of the season, historical data shows lower minimum temperatures in January in previous years. Day temperatures on Saturday were 29.2 degrees Celsius (Colaba) and 31.5 degrees Celsius (Santacruz). The IMD forecast for Sunday predicts maximum and minimum temperatures around 32 and 18 degrees Celsius, respectively, with haze in the morning transitioning to a partly cloudy sky in the afternoon/evening.
