Assaulted over cricket match dispute, cop dies

A dispute over a cricket match between rival teams resulted in the killing of a police constable. The constable, Shubham Agone, was attacked with swords and cricket stumps by members of the rival team. Three men have been arrested, and an FIR has been registered against 12 people for various offences including murder and attempt to murder. Assistant inspector Sagar Dhikle said, βActing on the information available, we have arrested three men. On Monday, the accused were produced before a court which remanded them in seven daysβ custody, till Sunday.β
